[SVBC] Anti Mountain Bike (and bicyclists) meeting in Woodside... need your help!]

I can't make it to the meeting, but I encourage someone from the bicycle
community to do some research in advance of this meeting.

I get the feeling that if we engage in a debate, the discussion will quickly
deteriorate. The most effective strategy for now may be to focus on
education. For example, find out how many people have been killed or
injured by automobiles in Woodside during the last 10 years. Then find out
how many people have been killed or injured by bicycles over that same
period. If the numbers come out the same as they do in most communities,
you can illustrate to the anti-bicycle community that these perceived
problems may not align with the actual problems they face.

I'm sure some good detective work would yield a number of such illustrations
to address both the road and off-road concerns expressed by the Woodside
"anti-bicycle" community.

It is very alarming to me the anti-bike mentality of folks in Woodside.

Check out their survey, and be careful and courteous the next time you
ride through there.

If you live in woodside, be sure to take the survey.

I hope you will attend the meeting on March 22 at 7pm.
